About

The First Movement of Life

Wang Zhiyang grew up in a small fishing village in the rural south of Taiwan. Nourished by the mountains, sea, and fields, he was a carefree, innocent, and courageous little boy. Although his family was poor, the love and tolerance of his parents shaped his optimistic, cheerful, and passionate personality.

The Second Movement of Life

When his beloved wife was diagnosed with a rare disease, he resolutely gave up all promising career opportunities, put on an apron, and became a stay-at-home husband. After his wife passed away, he continued to care for his young daughter as a poor, unemployed single father. Just as his daughter grew older and he prepared to return to the workforce, his mother was diagnosed with dementia. Unable to bear the thought of his elderly father caring for her alone, he joined his father in looking after his mother until her passing—a period that lasted another eight years.
During these years of caregiving, Wang Zhiyang immersed himself in self-study. He found solace in crafting driftwood, practiced calligraphy to connect with others, and delved into Chinese philosophical classics to soothe his soul. These more than ten years of hardship became fertile ground for his life, shaping the Wang Zhiyang of today.

The Third Movement of Life

Today, Wang Zhiyang is a lecturer who is often invited to give speeches at various government agencies and schools. He is a calligrapher whose calligraphy works have been invited to be exhibited at home and abroad. He is a successful single father who has raised a daughter who is both good in character and in academics. He was selected as one of the “Top 100 Supermen in Taiwan” for his unique life experience. His original “teaching with ink” touches people’s hearts.

The plot is still going on, and the story is still happening…
